I grew up in the Wiararapa and moved down to Wellington in 2009. This is where I completed my degree in Management and Human Resources in 2012. From here I worked for a couple of large organisation’s and found that I really liked working in Accounts. I then took up a post graduate diploma with the Accounting Specialisation in order to progress in the accounting world. I am IIF’s newest recruit and I have a drive to provide excellent customer service and innovative solutions.
I come from a hard working family made up of Psychologists, Architects and Doctors. We value hard work and I can appreciate what it takes to run a business as my Father owns his own practice. I understand the daily stress and dedication it takes to run a business. This is one of the reasons I chose to become an accountant, I want to relieve some of that stress clients face daily by taking away those compliance issues.
I maintain a healthy lifestyle so outside of work I enjoy playing football, tennis and attending the gym regularly. These are hugely important to me as I am quite competitive and always love a good challenge. Monday and Thursday nights are dedicated to football and the rest I try to fit in regular exercise.
Travel is really important to me, I have travelled across America, Europe, Fiji, Australia and at the end of the year I am travelling around Thailand. I feel these offer valuable life experiences and love getting immersed in other cultures.
My goals are to further my studies and complete my Charted Accountancy. I will be completing my CA studies at IIF so It will be excellent for me to pass my learnings from work to study and vice versa.
My key goal is to develop my relationships with my clients so they feel satisfied with the service I am providing for them. I want to be an expert in Xero, Tax and Trust law so I can provide the best solutions to those tricky questions.
